Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) has introduced a Golden Visa programme directed at educators from public and private schools who reside in the Emirate. The goal of the initiative is to enable dedicated professionals who fulfill specific requirements to be self-sponsored, acquiring long-term residency in the UAE.
The programme aims to attract and maintain exceptional talent in the education sector, encompassing school principals, teachers, and school leaders in Ras Al Khaimah. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, a member of the RAK DOK Board, emphasized the significance of educators in enhancing the quality of education for all students in Ras Al Khaimah.
"By qualifying top educators for long-term residency, we reaffirm our dedication to nurturing a robust educational environment that fosters talent and innovation, further enhancing our educational offerings and ensuring the continued success of our students," Dr. Al Naqbi stated.
The Ras Al Khaimah Golden Visa Programme is open to two main categories of educators: "School Leaders," which includes principals, vice principals, and school directors, and "Teachers," covering all qualified educators currently working in public and private schools in Ras Al Khaimah.
RAK DOK, the regulatory authority for private sector education in the Emirate, will simplify the application process by evaluating applicants based on specific criteria. This includes a minimum of three years of residency and employment in Ras Al Khaimah, a relevant advanced degree, and a demonstrated positive impact on their school’s performance.
To apply, eligible educators need to submit an official appointment letter, proof of educational qualifications, documentation of residency and employment, and evidence of their contributions to improving school performance. Following the submission of all necessary documents, RAK DOK will review and confirm eligibility to the educator, who will then proceed to the UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICP) for Golden visa processing.
The application process developed by RAK DOK aims to ensure efficiency and ease of navigation for applicants, reflecting the commitment to establishing a world-class education system in Ras Al Khaimah.
